Organ Donation Week: Belfast dad’s emotional plea as son waits on the gift of a new heart

Dáithí Mac Gabhann looks and acts like a normal child with a newfound love for school and passion for boxing – but on the inside he is fighting his own battle as he awaits a heart transplant. The West Belfast toddler, 3, was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which essentially means he only has half a working heart. He has been waiting on the gift of a new heart for over two years and this Organ Donation Week, the Ballymurphy family have been encouraging families to share their wishes. Watch Here
