Health Minister Robin Swann launches consultation on statutory opt-out for organ donation
The parents of a West Belfast toddler who is waiting for a new heart have welcomed the launch of a consultation on a soft opt-out organ donation system. Health Minister Robin Swann urged people to talk to their loved ones about organ donation as he launched the ten week consultation on Friday. The purpose of the consultation is to seek the public view on how to introduce a soft opt-out organ donation system for Northern Ireland.
