Dáithí Mac Gabhann marks 1,900 days on heart transplant waiting list with organ donation appeal

Dáithí Mac Gabhann has marked 1,900 days on the heart transplant waiting list with an organ donation appeal.

The six-year-old was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, meaning the left side of his heart did not form correctly. He and his family have campaigned tirelessly for a change in the Organ Donation Laws in Northern Ireland – that change came into effect on June 1.

On Tuesday, August 22, the youngster marked 1,900 days of being on the heart transplant waiting list. It comes one week after Dáithí was placed back on the waiting list after being “temporarily suspended” in June. Read More
