George Mitchell pens letter to Dáithí

We are proud and humbled to share this letter from Senator George J. Mitchell.

In it, he says he is proud that his name appears alongside Dáithí’s on the Freedom of Belfast list—an incredibly moving acknowledgment from someone who helped shape peace on this island.

Today’s event at Queen’s was full of hope. Senator Mitchell powerfully with warmth—but it was the young people who stole the show.
