Alan Shearer wishes Belfast boy luck for heart transplant appointment
Footballing legend Alan Shearer has joined the Donate4Dáithí campaign, after wishing the young Belfast boy luck for his hospital appointment in Newcastle on Tuesday.
Dáithí Mac Gabhann attended the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne this week, which is said to be one of the most experienced and successful solid organ transplant centres in the UK.
The seven-year-old has been battling Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) since birth and is increasingly reliant on a wheelchair and oxygen as his wait for a heart transplant donor continues. Read More
